Exciting Jerusalem Women Speak Tour Scheduled for October

This fall’s “Jerusalem Women Speak: Three Women, Three Faiths, One Shared Vision” tour is already coming into focus. Partners for Peace is very pleased to announce the tour’s three speakers as Marianne Albina, Reem Nashashibi [Ed. Note: See Below], and Gila Svirsky. The tour will run from October 7-24 and take the women to much of California as well as Seattle, Chicago, and Washington, DC. This will be the eighth such tour run by Partners for Peace.

The women on the spring tour — Nahla Assali, Nuha Khoury, and Michal Sagi — spoke to standing-room only audiences around the southeast. Numerous newspaper interviews are available under “Latest News” on this website. The women also appeared on CNN International and BBC World Radio.

We anticipate similar media arrangements for the October tour as Americans seek to learn more about the ongoing conflict ahead of the November elections. American audiences have shown themselves to be thrilled to hear from Palestinian and Israeli women who recognize the need to end the occupation, end the violence, and build freedom and security for both Palestinians and Israelis. The grassroots demand for the tour across the country continues to be very encouraging.

Recent Jerusalem Women Speak tours have been made possible through the generous assistance of individual donors around the country as well as by grants from the Foundation for Middle East Peace, the Arca Foundation, and the Firedoll Foundation.

We urge supporters of a just Palestinian-Israeli peace who want to hear from the voices of both Palestinian and Israeli peacemakers to support the October tour.
